As smart-office and digital-signage systems expand, a leading multimedia equipment manufacturer launched a 2026 customization program for multimedia panel enclosures. The housings protect internal control modules, interface ports and electronics, and had to stay stable in both commercial and office environments while sealing out dust and splash.
The front of each panel carries a dense mix of HDMI, USB and power connectors that had to mate perfectly with the customer’s modules. The housing also had to stay slim for wall mounting yet strong enough to hold heavy internal boards and shrug off everyday impact. Across 800 units, appearance, size and performance all had to match exactly.
Aligning several different connector types to the tenth of a millimeter on one panel is inherently difficult, and sealing the seams to IP54 while keeping the unit slim added another constraint. Finite-element analysis showed the wall-mount bracket and internal ribs had to be tuned carefully so the enclosure would not flex under load or mechanical shock.
We combined laser cutting and CNC punching with real-time positioning feedback so every connector lines up. FEA-guided internal ribs improved structural strength by about 20 percent without increasing thickness, and high-density foam gaskets in the seams deliver the IP54 seal. Automated lines and Statistical Process Control monitor parameters in real time, with sampling every 25 units to keep size, finish and function consistent. First-article units were assembled with the customer’s connectors before mass production.
The 800 units passed CMM inspection, IP54 testing per IEC 60529, full-load thermal imaging and connector fit checks with a 100 percent pass rate, shipping four days ahead of the 30-day plan. In commercial and office field use over six months there was no overheating, dust accumulation or structural issue, and the slim wall-mount design made installation faster for end users. The customer signed a two-year exclusive supply agreement.
The IP54 seal and the perfectly mated HDMI/USB ports gave us zero field complaints, and the slim profile made installation faster than ever. Consistent quality across 800 units is exactly what we needed to scale our signage rollout.
